What's the best way to detangle hair? - detangling hair brush

I have big problems with my hair. It is dry, weak and easily tangles. It is quite long, up to half of my ass.

I wonder what method and / or hair products really disentangle the tour. I brush my hair when I wake up and when I go to bed, brushing once or twice during the day when the wind or whatever. I've always kept in a ponytail and is rarely disappointed, and just for the simple fact that so easily betrayed when released.
